The restaurant was quiet considering the good standard of food , although maybe this was just a quiet night given it was bank holiday.
There were areas that could perhaps be improved , some of the decor was shabby think it was in the process of being done , some of the evening was a bit disorganised our guest coordinator hadn't been informed we were coming and the food , although good , was a bit slow and the drinks service with vouchers a bit unclear.
We all however enjoyed the evening, it was excellent value and we will definately be returning Recommended for a different night out , some even went home with more money than they came with , but don't take more than you are prepared to lose!
Decided to go for Sunday lunch as we had friends coming over, we haven't been for a while but they had special offer on so thought it would be a good time to go back.
So glad we did, friendly waitress, lovely clean and well presented table. The food was lovely, tasty and nice size portions. We had the 3 courses and everybody was satisfied with the choices made.
Bottle of wine reasonably priced and very nice to compliment the food. No blaring music just nice gentle background and as you have to be over 18 the other bonus is no screaming parents or badly behaved children.
Really enjoyable eating experience well cooked produce together with superb surroundings and well trained amiable staff. The close proximity to the casino added a certain panache to tge evening plus the free entertainment in the bar was top dollar also.
I usually work on New Year, but being home and spending the first one with my wife I had high expectations but we booked the casino for 3 course meal and entertainment for 6, 3 couples , the food wasn't great, the pallet cleanser tasted like fairy liquid, the music system kept flipping out and making some hideous noise, the beef pie needed a chain saw to cut through the meat inside, the duck wasn't great, there was no new year countdown so we just all celebrated at different times on different tables.
The plus points were, the staff were extremely friendly and got food out quickly, the Prosecco was very reasonably priced, the veg was perfect, the canopes were nice, the singer was good, they didn't cram too many people in the room unlike downstairs.
